Roman Catholic Diocese of Oyem

The Diocese of Oyem (Latin: Dioecesis Oyemensis ) is a location in Gabon Roman Catholic diocese based in Oyem. It includes the province Woleu - Ntem.

History

Pope Paul VI. founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Divini magistri verba on 13 May 1969 cession of territory of the Archdiocese of Libreville, where it was assumed as a suffragan.

On 19 March 2003 it lost part of its territory to the Apostolic Prefecture Makokou.
