Roman Catholic Diocese of Reno

The Diocese of Reno (Latin Dioecesis Renensis ) is a located in the United States Roman Catholic diocese based in Reno, Nevada.

History

The Diocese of Reno was born on March 27, 1931 by Pope Pius XI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Pastoris aeterni of annexations of the dioceses Salt Lake and Sacramento and the Archdiocese of San Francisco, is a suffragan. On October 13, 1976, the diocese was renamed the Diocese of Reno Reno -Las Vegas. The Diocese of Reno -Las Vegas was divided on 21 March 1995 in the dioceses of Reno and Las Vegas.

The diocese comprises the Reno located in the state of Nevada Areas Carson City, Churchill County, Douglas County, Elko County, Eureka County, Humboldt County, Lander County, Lyon County, Mineral County, Pershing County, Storey County and Washoe County.
