The Diocese of Rochester (Latin: Dioecesis Roffensis ) is a located in the United States Roman Catholic diocese based in Rochester, New York.

History

The Diocese of Rochester was born on March 3, 1868 by Pope Pius IX. built out of territory of the Diocese of Buffalo and the Archdiocese of New York is a suffragan. In 1896 the diocese of Rochester were annexed parts of the territory of the Diocese of Buffalo.
