Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre
Located in the USA Diocese of Rockville Centre (Latin: Dioecesis Petropolitana in Insula Longa ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church. It was created on April 6, 1957 field spin-offs from the Diocese of Brooklyn and is subordinate to the Archdiocese of New York as a suffragan. It includes the two eastern counties of Long Iceland: Nassau and Suffolk.
The Bishop of Rockville Centre, whose diocese 3164 km ² and with nearly 1.5 million Catholics is numerically the sixth largest diocese in the United States is supported by four Auxiliary Bishops.
