Roman Catholic Diocese of Tanga

The Diocese of Tanga ( Latin: Dioecesis Tangaensis ) is a location in Tanzania Roman Catholic diocese based in Tanga.

History

The Diocese of Tanga was born on April 18, 1950 by Pope Pius XII. with the Apostolic Constitution amplissima plerumque of annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate of Kilimanjaro built as Apostolic Prefecture thong. On February 24, 1958, the Apostolic Prefecture of Tanga was Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Qui idcirco to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam is a suffragan.
