Roman Catholic Diocese of Trenton

The Diocese of Trenton (Latin: Dioecesis Trentonensis ) is a located in the United States Roman Catholic diocese based in Trenton, New Jersey.

History

The Diocese of Trenton was on August 2, 1881 by Pope Leo XIII. built out of territory of the Diocese of Newark. On 9 December 1937, the Diocese of Trenton were parts of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of Camden. A further transfer of territory took place on 19 November 1981 foundation of the diocese Metuchen.

The Diocese of Trenton is the Archdiocese of Newark, is a suffragan.
