Roman Catholic Diocese of Umuahia

The Diocese of Umuahia (Latin: Dioecesis Umuahianus ) is a location in Nigeria Roman Catholic diocese based in Umuahia.

History

The Diocese of Umuahia was posted on June 23, 1958 by Pope Pius XII. usque built with the Apostolic Constitution Sollicite out of territory of the Diocese of Owerri and the Archdiocese of Onitsha is a suffragan. On January 24, 1981, the Diocese of Umuahia were parts of its territory from the foundation of the built with the Apostolic Constitution Quandoquidem Sanctissima Diocese of Okigwe. Another area assignment was made on 2 April 1990 establishing the quidem with the Apostolic Constitution Praeteritis erected Diocese of Aba. The Diocese of Umuahia was placed under the Archdiocese of Owerri, suffragan on 26 March 1994.
