Roman Catholic Diocese of Uruaçu

The diocese Uruacu (Latin: Dioecesis Uruassuensis ) is a location in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Uruacu in the state of Goiás.

History

The diocese Uruacu was on March 26, 1956 Pope Pius XII. built out of territory of the Archdiocese of Goiás and the Territorialprälatur São José do Alto Tocantins. On October 11, 1966, the diocese was Uruacu from parts of its territory establishing the Territorialprälatur Rubiataba. Another area assignment was made on 29 March 1989 foundation of the diocese Luziânia.

The diocese is the Archdiocese of Brasília Uruacu a suffragan.
