Roman Catholic Diocese of Wuhu
The Diocese of Wuhu (Latin: Dioecesis Uhuvensis ) is a located in the People's Republic of China Roman Catholic diocese based in Wuhu.
History
The Diocese of Wuhu was born on August 8, 1921 by Pope Benedict XV. cessions of territory from the Apostolic Vicariate Kiangnan built as Apostolic Vicariate Nganhoei. On 3 December 1924, the Apostolic Vicariate Nganhoei was renamed Vicariate Apostolic of Wuhu.
The Apostolic Vicariate of Wuhu was posted on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos to the diocese and the Archdiocese assumed Anking suffragan.
