Roman Catholic Diocese of Xuanhua

The diocese of Xuanhua (Latin: Dioecesis Siuenhoavensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Xuanhua in the People's Republic of China.

History

Pope Pius XI. founded the Apostolic Vicariate Süanhwafu with the Breve Expedit on May 10, 1926 annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate of Beijing. The first apostolic vicar, Philippe Zhao Huai -yi, was among the first six Chinese bishops. Pope Pius XI were consecrated on 28 October 1926 in Rome to bishops.

With the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos it was raised on April 11, 1946 Diocese. 1980 did the Chinese government's dioceses Chongli - Xiwanzi and Xuanhua connected and created the diocese of Zhangjiakou, which was not recognized by the Holy See.
