Roman Catholic Diocese of Yakima

The Diocese of Yakima (Latin: Dioecesis Yakimensis ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States, headquartered in Yakima. It includes the counties of Benton, Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Kittitas, Klickitat and Yakima in Washington State.

History

Pope Pius XII. founded it on 23 June in 1951 of territory of the Diocese of Spokane and the Archdiocese of Seattle, where it was assumed as a suffragan.
