Roman Catholic Vicariate Apostolic of Izabal

The Vicariate Apostolic of Izabal (Latin: apostolicus Vicariatus Izabalensis ) is a Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate with its headquarters in Puerto Barrios in Guatemala. It includes the department of Izabal.

History

Pope Paul VI. founded the Apostolic Administration on 30 April 1968 from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Zacapa. On March 12, 1988, she was elevated to the Apostolic Vicariate.
