Roman De Beer

Roman De Beer ( born October 6, 1994, Johannesburg) is a South African racing driver. He enters 2014 in the GP3 Series.

Career

De Beer began his motorsport career in karting, where he was active from 2007 to 2010. Among other things, he was 2009 World Champion in the ROK Junior class. In 2010 he moved to the Formula racing and joined the Scuderia Victoria World in the Formula Abarth. With a second place as best result and a total of three podium placings, he concluded his debut season on top of the ninth. In 2011, De Beer for the Scuderia Victoria only three events in the Formula Abarth part. It was a second place his best result. He came eleventh in the Italian and the 16th place in the European rankings. 2012 De Beer joined the Scuderia Victoria to four events of the Italian Formula 3 Championship. With a fifth place as best result he was twelfth in the Italian championship.

De Beer took the end of 2012 for Trident Racing participated in test drives of the GP3 series. Since he could muster no budget for the 2013 season, he decided to take a year off and only participate in further GP3 testing for Trident. 2014 De Beer eventually received a GP3 race seat with Trident Racing.
