Roman Eremenko (Russian Роман Алексеевич Ерёменко; born March 19, 1987 in Moscow, Russia ) is a Russian-born Finnish footballer. The attacking midfielder, but can also act as a winger, plays since 2011 for Rubin Kazan.

Career

Eremenko moved at the age of three years with his family to Finland when his father Alexei Eremenko Sr. came to Finland to play for FF Jaro. In 2003 he received Finnish citizenship, but has continued the Russian. He is the younger brother of Alexei Eremenko, who currently plays for FC Kilmarnock.

His professional debut was in 2004 at the age of 17 years for FF Jaro. In 2005 he was one of the key players of the team. In 2006 he moved to Udinese Calcio. In the first half of the 2006/07 season he was only 6 inserts, so you initially lent him for the second half of the AC Siena. In 2007 he extended his contract with Udinese until 2012. Yet even in his second year at Udinese he was mostly just Benchwarmers. In 2008 he was therefore awarded again, this time at Dynamo Kiev, where he was able to capture a regular place. Kiev then took him from the 2009/10 season firmly under contract.

For the Finnish national team, he played to date ( as at 4 December 2012) 47 international matches and scored two goal.
