Roman Koudelka

Roman Koudelka ( born July 9, 1989 in Turnov ) is a Czech ski jumper.

Career

Koudelka is trained by Richard Schallert and starts for the club LSK Lomnice. In his most longest jump he reached on the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf 142 meters. In 2004 he took part in the first time jumping in the Continental Cup. 2006, initially followed first inserts in the Summer Grand Prix and in November 2006 he graduated in Kuusamo his first jump in the World Cup. In February 2007, he reached in Klingenthal eighth his first top- 10 finish in the World Cup.

Roman Koudelka took part in Sapporo at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2007. He was on the normal hill and large hill on the 25th and ninth respectively in the team competition. At the Junior World Championships in Tarvisio, he won the gold medal on the normal hill. On 4 July 2007 Koudelka turned the hill record on V Popelkách in Lomnice on with a width of 70.5 meters.

At the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010, he reached in jumping on the normal hill together with the Norwegian Tom Hilde the 12th Place. In the Czech Republic Championships in October 2010, which took place in the Italian Predazzo, he could win the title. When ski flying in Harrachov on 9 January 2011 he jumped with third place for the first time in a World Cup jumping on the podium.

When competition in Willingen on February 12, 2012, he took second place with his best placement in the World Cup and also his first podium finish in a single World Cup competitions. After he successfully competed in the ski flying in Oberstdorf, he got the nomination for the Ski Flying World Championships 2012 in Vikersund. He landed in the individual competition at the 11th rank. In team competition the team to Jakub Janda, Jan Matura and Lukáš Hlava was at the end of the sixth. Also the end of the World Cup season 2011/12 he was repeatedly and successfully score again. So he ended up including in Trondheim in fifth place. The season he finished in 10th place in the overall World Cup standings.

In summer 2012, he convinced in the context of the Ski Jumping Grand Prix 2012 already on the first station in Hinterzarten. After a ninth place with the team he was in the individual ranking eighth. However, this was his only success. In Hinzenbach he failed to qualify and had to settle in Klingenthal with a point-less 48th place. In the 2012/13 World Cup season, he raced without luck and remained until the opening event of the Four Hills Tournament 2012/13 in Oberstdorf without World Cup points. After a 29th place there, he was able to achieve the best single - season earnings up to that point in Garmisch -Partenkirchen with the 18th place to be. It remained, however, to Harrachov in February its final place in the top twenty.

In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme, Italy, he was in two individual events qualify with good results in qualifying for the competition. From the normal hill at the end he reached the 28th rank of the large hill ranks 30th in the team competition, he finished together with Lukáš Hlava, Jakub Janda and Jan Matura sixth place.

At the first World Cup competition after the World Cup in Lahti, Finland, he reached the seventh place with the team.
