Roman Shirokov

Roman Nikolayevich Shirokov (Russian Роман Николаевич Широков; born July 6, 1981 in Dedovsk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian football player at Zenit St Petersburg.

Career

Shirokov first went through the U-19, and the second team of CSKA Moscow until he was hired in 2001 by FK Moscow. In 2002 he moved to FK Istra. In 2004 he moved twice the clubs, he left FK Istra, after which he was briefly active at FK Vidnoe and finally he returned in the same year returned to FK Istra. There he stayed for one year before moving to Saturn Ramenskoe 2005. Again, after a year he transferred to Rubin Kazan. During his time at this club he was loaned to his old club FK Istra. 2007 Shirokov Rubin Kazan left back and was taken from FK Khimki under contract. In 2008, Zenit St. Petersburg obliged the Russians. In the 2007/2008 UEFA Cup campaign Shirokov could win with his club trophy in the final against Rangers 2-0.
