Roman Volod'kov

Roman Mychajlowytsch Wolodkow (Ukrainian Роман Михайлович Володьков, born August 12, 1973 in Zaporizhia ) is a retired Ukrainian diver. He started in the arts and diving both in single as well as in synchronous competitions.

Wolodkow participated in three Olympic Games. In Atlanta in 1996, he finished in eleventh place from 3 m board and 20 from the 10 m tower. 2000 in Sydney, he was ranked 21 from the tower and was used together with Olexandr Skrypnyk sixth in the 10-meter synchronized diving. In Athens in 2004 he was again 21 from the tower and also missed with his new synchronous partner Anton Sakharov fourth barely a medal.

Wolodkow celebrated at World Swimming Championships two medals. In 2001, he won bronze in Fukuoka and 2003 in Barcelona silver, each 10 m in synchronous competition and along with Anton Sakharov.

Also at European Swimming Championships Wolodkow was successful. In 1995 he won bronze in Vienna from 3 m board, followed in 1999 in Istanbul a new bronze medal from the 10 m tower. A year later he succeeded in Helsinki with Skrynyk the silver medal in the 10m synchronized diving. At the European Championships in Berlin in 2002 the successful duo Wolodkow / Sakharov won his first title, they could repeat in 2004. In the same year Wolodkow also won bronze from the tower.

After the World Cup 2005, he ended his active career.
