Romanowsky stain
As Romanowsky staining is defined as the staining of blood parasites, especially Plasmodium in the blood smear and " thick smear " with a solution of eosin and methylene blue in methanol.
Today the Romanowsky staining is more developed than Giemsa - Romanowsky staining applied.
