Romanshorn

Roman Horn is a municipality in the district of Arbon in the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland.

History

The oldest traces of the village date back to the year 779. The old church is still witness to the past. Roman horn was for centuries an important " outpost " of the monastery of St. Gall. The village, however, developed only leaps and bounds as a port was built and the railroad in 1855 from Zurich reached the place. Thus, the novel traffic location Horn was born.

Geography

Roman Horn is a town on the southern shore of Lake Constance. The " City by the Water " reached in April 2012, the limit of 10,000 inhabitants and has been the city.
