Romblon (Romblon)

Romblon is a Philippine municipality and capital of the province of Romblon in the Administrative Region IV -B, Mimaropa. It has 37,995 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 31 barangays. It is classified as a community of the third income class in the Philippines and as a village.

Romblon Romblon is on the same island, the topography of the municipality is characterized by flat hilly terrain.

In Romblon Spanish fort Fuerza de San Andres in the 17th century completed, it was the control of vessel traffic and to provide early warning of the Spanish guards on the island when the situated on raids Moropiraten, in the 17th and 18th centuries, the island approached.

In the community, the School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at the Romblon State University.
