Rome Quadriennale

The Quadrennial di Roma is a Foundation for the Promotion of Italian contemporary art. Carriers are the Ministry of Culture and the City of Rome. The Foundation was created in 1927 with the aim to gather in Rome the best figurative works of art made in Italy, as a sort of counterpart to the internationally oriented Biennale di Venezia.

The name refers to the four-year rhythm of the public exhibitions at the Palace of Expositions.
