Römer 2-4-6

Romans 2-4-6 is the name for a Gothic timbered house, whose oldest parts date from the built in 1289. Thus the Romans 2-4-6 is the oldest freestanding building in Germany and national monument. It stands in the historic old town of Limburg an der Lahn. The name is derived from the name of a street and house numbers.

As part of the renovation work you became aware of the building. It was restored between 1986 and 1989 by the architect Walter Limburger Neuhäusser. Prior to the renovation works were carried dendrochronological investigations of annual rings of the rafters, which were installed in the completely conserved roof. This said edification year was dated.

In the garden they found a mikveh, a Jewish Kultbad.
