Ron Loewinsohn

Ron Loewinsohn ( * 1937 in the Philippines ) is an American writer and literary critic.

Life

In the 50s Ron Loewinsohn belonged to the circle of the Beat poets in San Francisco.

He completed his studies at Berkeley in 1967 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA ) from. He was then in 1971 in Harvard Doctor of Philosophy (PhD ) PhD with a dissertation on William Carlos Williams.

Since 1970, he belonged to the faculty of the University of Berkeley. Meanwhile Loewinsohn emeritus.
