Ron Zanussi

Ron Zanussi ( born August 31, 1956 in Toronto, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who played from 1977 to 1982 for the Minnesota North Stars and Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League.

Career

Ron Zanussi began his career as a hockey player with the London Knights, for whom he played from 1973 to 1976 a total of three years in the Ontario Hockey Association. He was then selected by the Minnesota North Stars in the third round as a total 51 players in the NHL Amateur Draft 1976. Thereupon he was first a game while with the Fort Wayne Komets of the International Hockey League contract. The next four years was the Canadians in both the Minnesota North Stars, as well as their farm team of the Central Hockey League, the Oklahoma City Stars on the ice.

On March 10, 1981, the attacker was delivered together with the third round of the North Stars franchise for the NHL Entry Draft in 1981 at the Toronto Maple Leafs, received their second-round vote in the NHL Entry Draft, Minnesota. In his year and a half in Toronto Zanussi also played for the Cincinnati Tigers from the CHL. In the years 1982 to 1984, he finally ended his career in the American Hockey League with the St. Catharines Saints and the Sherbrooke Jets.
