Ronaldus " Ronald" de Boer ( born May 15, 1970 in Hoorn ) is a former Dutch football player. His ten minutes younger twin brother Frank de Boer is also a well-known football player and played the majority of his career in the same team. Her father is the 1941 born Cees de Boer, the beginning of the 1960s was also represented briefly in professional football, but there was only sporadic inserts.
Career
His career began in 1987 at Ajax Amsterdam, where he was already active as a youth player. He was part of the legendary Ajax team that won the 1995 Champions League, and he also was several times Dutch champion and cup winner. Together with his twin brother Frank he played until January 1999, Ajax (from mid-1991 to early 1993 he played on loan at FC Twente Enschede), before he moved to FC Barcelona with his brother. The Dutch coach Louis van Gaal in 1999 he was with FC Barcelona, although Spanish champion, but he could in his 13 games contribute no goal.
