Ronald Lacey

Ronald Lacey ( born September 28, 1935 at the London Borough of Harrow, England; † 15 May 1991, London, England ) was a British film and stage actor.

Biography

While many records indicate 28 September 1935 as date of birth Lacey, there are also those, especially the obituaries, call the 18 June 1935. However, the majority of biographies based on the first data.

The Briton with Welsh roots initially worked as a laborer in the Royal Court, before he attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Shortly thereafter, in 1962, he received his first engagement at the Royal Court Theatre.

Although he also received offers from Hollywood, that was all his work mostly confined to British productions.

Lacey became known in 1981 for his role in the Indiana Jones movie Raiders of the Lost Ark, where he played the Nazi Major Arnold Toht. In Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989, he played the Reichsführer- SS Heinrich Himmler. He also acted in the television series Jason King with.

Ronald Lacey was married twice. In 1959 he married the British actress Mela White, with whom he had two children, working as an actor also today, Rebecca and Jonathan Lacey. After twelve years of marriage ended in divorce in 1971. A year later, in 1972, he married actress Joanna Baker, with whom he remained until her death, in 1989, married.
