Ronald Susilo

Ronald Susilo ( born June 6, 1979 in Kediri, Indonesia ) is a Singaporean badminton player.

Career

Ronald Susilo began with the Badminonsport at the age of eight years in Pelita Jaya Club in Jakarta. Later he studied at the Anglo - Chinese School for secondary education with a scholarship. He speaks English and Malay and understand spoken Chinese. At age 19, he was Singaporean national team. At the opening ceremony of the 2004 Summer Olympics, he was the national flag carrier of Singapore. He married the Singaporean Li Jia Wei, a national table tennis player.

Susilo played badminton at the 2004 Olympics in the men's singles and hit the set to number one Lin Dan from China and Björn Joppien from Germany in the first two rounds. In the quarterfinals, losing to Susilo Boonsak Ponsana from Thailand with 15:10, 15:1.
