Rondò Veneziano

Rondo Veneziano is an Italian orchestra. His repertoire draws the majority of original compositions Gian Piero Reverberis that are stylistically inspired by the Venetian Baroque music, but also incorporate modern elements such as drums, electric guitar and synthesizer sounds with. As a co- composers draw Laura Giordano, Dario Farina, Ivano Pavesi and Giuseppe Zuppone. As a soloist and in the melody by the oboe plays a central role in the sound structure.

History

The orchestra was founded in 1979. The first albums Rondo Veneziano La Serenissima, Venice 2000 and Odissea Veneziana and their single releases, were great successes. The following albums reached in many European countries Charts rankings. The musical style was then new and will remains controversial even today. Countless television appearances anchored the audience a picture of a nine-member ensemble in rococo costumes. In live performances around 30 musicians under the direction of Gian Piero Reverberi. Although Rondo Veneziano are still concerts, the last studio album was released with new titles in 2002. Since then best-of CDs and a second live album was released ( with the previously unreleased composition Risveglio ).

The successful concept of Rondo Veneziano has been over the years by various groups, such as the German group Rondo Classico, or the U.S. group Nova Era, taken up.

The Rondo Veneziano Chamber Orchestra was lifted in autumn 2008 from the baptism, which released one album so far. Gian Piero Reverberi Here is accompanied as a soloist on the wings of 14 strings and a horn. In this formation, the orchestra dispensed with in terms of a purely classical concert experience on electronics and percussion instruments. Consequently, the musicians also occur not in costume but in black evening clothes. The melodies are fueled by the well-known repertoire of Rondo Veneziano, but were re-arranged by Gian Piero Reverberi for this orchestra formation.

Rondo Veneziano are under the direction of its founder, composer, arranger and conductor Gian Piero Reverberi still concerts in the large formation - with electronics, rhythm instruments and in period costumes - but increasingly concerts and chamber orchestra.
