Ronny Cox

Daniel Ronald " Ronny " Cox ( born July 23, 1938 in Cloudcroft, New Mexico) is an American actor and singer.

Life and achievements

To his first movies was nominated for three Oscars Thriller At death, each of the first (1972 ), in which he appeared alongside Jon Voight, Burt Reynolds and Ned Beatty. From 1974 to 1975 he played the lead role in the television series Apple 's Way. In the film drama The cadets of Bunker Hill (1981 ), he played the role of Colonel Kerby, commander of the National Guard, of the Brian Moreland (Timothy Hutton ) and David Shawn (Tom Cruise) uprising headed the cadets completed.

In the action comedy Beverly Hills Cop (1984) and Beverly Hills Cop II ( 1987), he played the role of the boss of William Rosewood ( Judge Reinhold ) and John Taggart ( John Ashton ), Andrew Bogomil. In the thriller Murder in the White House ( 1997), he appeared alongside Wesley Snipes and Alan Alda, in the comedy Forces of Nature (1999) opposite Ben Affleck and Sandra Bullock.

In the science fiction series Stargate - Kommando SG -1, he played the recurring role of Senator Robert Kinsey.

Cox married Mary Cox in 1960, with whom he has two children. His wife died on 18 December 2006 after a short illness.
