Ronny Johnsen

Jean Ronny Johnsen ( born June 10, 1969 in Sandefjord, Norway ) is a former Norwegian football player. He played in central defense.

Career

Johnsen began his professional career at Norwegian club Stokke IL. The next stop was Eik -Tønsberg, which he left in 1991 the direction of Lyn Oslo. In 1994 he moved to Lillestrøm SK. A season later he went to Beşiktaş Istanbul in Turkey. For the 1996/97 season, he joined the renowned English club Manchester United, with whom he has four times English champion ( 1997,1999,2000 and 2001). He also won the 1999 FA Cup, the UEFA Champions League and the Intercontinental Cup. In 2002 he moved within the Premier League for Aston Villa, which he left in 2004 towards Newcastle United. There he came only three times used, which meant that he ended his career. After a year's break Johnsen was active again and signed for season 2005/ 06 a contract with Vålerenga IF. National

Johnsen played between 1991 and 2004 a total of 61 games for the Norwegian national football team. He scored three goals, and took her part in the World Cup 1998.
