Ronny Scholz

Ronny Scholz ( born April 24, 1978 in Forst ( Lausitz) ) is a German racing cyclist. Currently Scholz lives with his wife, the daughter of his former team manager Hans -Michael Holczer, and his children in Herrenberg.

Career

Scholz's career as a cyclist began in 1990, when RSV Peitz, where he took part for the first time at a race license. From 1994 he was a regular for the German national team. During his junior time in 1995 he joined the RSC Cottbus, where he drove road race in winter track and cross- race and during the summer. In 1997 he joined the club again, this time for ISPO Lotusan Cottbus, where he decided to contest only road race. From 2001 to 2008 Scholz went for the Pro Tour team Gerolsteiner team, since 2009 for Team Milram.

His greatest successes so far are a stage win and 2nd place in the overall individual competition at the Regio - Tour 2003, the 6th place in the overall individual standings of the Critérium International and the victory at the Around the old town of Nuremberg in 2005.
