Ronny Velásquez
Ronny Velásquez ( born August 31, 1951) is a Venezuelan anthropologist, researcher and editor.
He received his PhD in Social Sciences at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. He works as a professor and researcher just there and is head of the Departamento de Série Cultural de la Escuela de Artes, Facultad de Educación y Humanidades ( = Department for Cultural Promotion at the Faculty of Human Sciences and Education of the Academy of Fine Arts ).
He is also president of the Fundación Internacional de Etnomusicología y Folklore ( FUNIDEF ) (= International Foundation for Ethnomusicology and Folklore ).
