Roorback is the ninth studio album by Brazilian thrash metal band Sepultura. It was released in May 2003 on the record label Roadrunner Records.
Formation and style
Roorback was like its predecessor nation recorded in Sao Paolo with producer Steve Evetts. Stylistically, too, the mix of groove and alternative metal is maintained. With Bullet the Blue Sky a U2 cover piece was already recorded for the initial published in 2003, cover -EP Revolusongs, which was attached to some editions of Roorback as a bonus track. On the German digipak edition but it is not included. For the German Digipak the Revolusongs -EP was completely added, on the song and the accompanying music video is included, which won the MTV Award for "Best Direction of Photography " in Brazil. On 18 April 2003, the band in the United States launched a co- headlining tour with Voivod.
Reception
Alex Henderson of Allmusic awarded four out of five stars for Roorback. He particularly emphasized Derrick greens singing as " passionate and focused" ( " passionate and focused " ) out.
