Roosevelt (automobile)

Roosevelt was an American automobile brand that was manufactured by the Marmon Motor Car Company in Indianapolis (Indiana) in the model years 1929 and 1930.

The Roosevelt was named after the American president Theodore Roosevelt, and should be an " affordable " automobile. He was the first American car with line eight- cylinder engine that weighs less than 1,000, - cost $. The engine produced 72 bhp ( 53 kW ) and the cars had a wheelbase of 2870 mm. There were four different structures: a sedan ( 995, - U.S. $), a coupe ( U.S. $ 995 ), a Victoria Coupe ( U.S. $ 1,065 ) and a Collegiate Coupe ( 1905 - U.S. $ ).

The successor was hardly changed from 1931 fitted with a more powerful engine and offered again as Marmon Model 70.
