Roque Gonzales, Rio Grande do Sul

Roque Gonzales is a Brazilian town with 7,053 inhabitants ( 2006 estimate ) on 346.62 km ² in the north- west of the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

Original inhabitants were Mbyá - Guaraní, who fell in the 17th and 18th century under the influence of the Jesuits. The town was established in 1965 independently.
