Roquevaire

Aubagne is a commune with 8548 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bouches -du -Rhône in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur.

Geography

The community is located east of Marseille between the four kilometers away Aubagne and Auriol which six kilometers away. It is part of the Communauté d' Aubagne et de Pays d' agglomà l' Étoile. Aubagne is situated on the river Huveaune.

History

The coat of arms of the town was 906 The star in Arms ( Fr. " étoile ") stands for the Massif de l' Étoile, which starts behind the village, and the Pont de l' Étoile. The rock is connected with the name of the place. Aubagne is, as much as white- gray rock.
