Rorschacherberg

Rorschacherberg is a municipality in the canton of St. Gallen. It is located in the constituency Rorschach.

Geography

Rorschacherberg is situated on a slope above Rorschach and extends east of Rorschach to Lake Constance.

In Rorschacherberg are the castles of St. Anna Castle, Wartensee, Wartegg and Wiggen.

The Rorschach -Heiden mountain railway ( Heidnerbahn ) holds in Rorschacherberg at stops Seebleiche, Sandbüchel and Wartensee.

Merger plans

Rorschach, Rorschacherberg and Goldach tested in 2007 a ​​merger to a lakeside town with around 25,000 inhabitants, which is one of the largest cities would have resulted in the canton of St. Gallen.
