Rory Sutherland

Rory Sutherland ( born February 8, 1982 in Canberra) is an Australian racing cyclist.

Sutherland went from 2001 to 2004 in the youth team of Rabobank. In his successful 2004 he became an Australian Champion in the road race the U23 class and each won a stage of the Tour of Thuringia and at the Olympia's Tour. In 2005 he then moved to the first team. In the Tour of Denmark in the same year he is third overall and won the junior championship.

The end of 2005 it was announced that Sutherland was tested during the D- Tour positive for doping. Rabobank -suspended with immediate effect and he has been banned from 21 December 2005 to 15 months.

Since then he drives UnitedHealthcare Maxxis for the U.S. team, he was able to convince especially in smaller races in the USA. He won three times, for example, the Nature Valley Grand Prix.
