Rosaria Console

Rosaria Console ( born December 17, 1979 in Martina Franca ) is an Italian long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon.

With eleven years Apulierin began with the Running, inspired by her brother. Their biggest success on the track was a second place finish at the U23 European Championships in 1999. Two years later she won the Maratona di Sant'Antonio in Padua in 2:30:55 h and was nominated for the marathon in the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton in they came in 20th place.

The following year she was third at the Turin Marathon and fifth in the marathon at the European Championships in Munich in 2002. In 2003, she posed as Second the Paris Marathon in a personal best of 2:27:48 h, was Italian champion in the half marathon and second in the Milan City Marathon.

At the 2004 Olympics in Athens, she finished in 16th place. Earlier this year she was third at the Rome Marathon and winner of the Vienna City Marathon.

At the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005 she came to 19th place in the European Championships in 2006 she fell after a collision and had to retire early.

The runner with the nickname " Rosalba " is 1,60 m tall, weighs 42 kg and is trained by Piero Incalza. Since 2004 she has been with Daniele Caimmi, also a successful marathon runner, married since 2007 and has a daughter.
