Rosenaue

The Rosenaue is a 11.4 km long, orographic left tributary of the Ahse in North Rhine -Westphalia, Germany. It flows in the Soester Plain through the communities of Bad Sass village and Lippetal.

Geography

The Rosenaue rises on the southern outskirts of Bad Sass village at 95 m above sea level. NN, only about 1.3 km southwest of the Ahsequelle. After about 500 m stretch of river discharges on the left into the Haule Bach. This 4.6 km long river is called by Landesvermessungsamt NRW against the German base map as the source river.

From Bad Sass village Rosenaue the first flows in a northerly direction. Between Weslarn and Brockhausen it passes through natural reserve Rosenaue and turns its course to the west. Below Brockhausen the Rosenaue flows almost parallel to the Ahse and flows south from Oestinghausen at an altitude of 71 m above sea level. NN in this.

On its 11.4 km long road which Rosenaue overcomes a height difference of 24 m, corresponding to an average bed slope of 2.1 ‰. She drains an area of 27.714 km ².

In the spatial locations of Bad Sass village and Weslarn the river is heavily straightened. In Weslarn it flows through the mill Schlothmann.

Tributaries

The following are the tributaries of the Rosenaue are called in order from source to mouth.

  • Haule Bach - 4.6 km long left tributary to Bad Sass village at 91 m above sea level. NN
  • Aakgraben - 8.2 km long right tributary to Bad Sass village at 90 m above sea level. NN
  • On Ohrmann Kamp - 1.8 km long left tributary above Weslarn to 83 m above sea level. NN
  • On gravel trench - 1.2 km long right tributary in Weslarn to 81 m above sea level. NN
  • Hüttinghauser Bach - 2.2 km long left tributary above Brockhausen to 76 m above sea level. NN:

Brook no particular source, comes from the area southeast of Hüttinghausen, dined earlier the Gräftensystem to house Hüttinghausen and flows in a northerly direction until it empties in to the aspens in the Rosenau.

  • Umflut Rosenau - 1.2 km long left tributary at Lütge Brockhausen to 72 m above sea level. NN: To 1929, the Umflut Rosenau, which should provide the Borne and the cattle before Lütge Brockhausen with water, created, or expanded. The Umflut leads from a weir in place underground to Brockhausen located in the resort village pond " village Borne " ( former livestock watering ). From there, the Umflut again leads back to the Rosenaue at Lütge Brockhausen.
