Rosenbach (Vils)

The Rosenbach, also Erlbach by Sulzbach -Rosenberg is a right tributary of the Vils, it flows north of Amberg at Poppenricht - Altmannshof in the Vils.
Course
The Rosenbach springs northwest of skirts as Klafferbach directional and has a catchment area of 68.57 km ². It flows below the castle by Sulzbach Sulzbach -Rosenberg, where it is amplified by the Breitenbrunner Bach from the Seven Springs. In Poppenricht - Altmannshof the Rosenbach joins the Vils.
According to the Regional Plan, the Upper Palatinate North Rosenbach between Sulzbach- Rosenberg and the confluence with the Vils the water quality class III ( very dirty ) and II to III ( critically polluted ) on.

Endangered species
In the lower reaches of the Rosenbach's the endangered species crayfish or European crayfish " Astacus astacus " could be observed.
