Roseto degli Abruzzi

Roseto degli Abruzzi, mostly just Roseto, with 25,235 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) is the second largest city in the province of Teramo.

Geography and History

The site extends mainly from north to south along the coast and rises partly on the hill on the west side. Main thoroughfare and thoroughfare is Via Nazionale, which runs parallel to the sea. The city has a larger beach promenade on the Adriatic Sea, which is the central meeting place. On the entire length of Roseto degli Abruzzi has sandy beach. In the water in front of the beach rock series were erected to reduce the flow at regular intervals.

Due to the good water quality Roseto has received the Blue Flag. The river flows Vomano to Roseto the Adriatic Sea.

Roseto degli Abruzzi called 1877-1927 Rosburgo.

Sports

Until recently, the city used the Roseto Sharks have a top-flight basketball team, but until they overtook the sponsor and licensing difficulties relegation.
