Roseville is a city in Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan and is located in the metro Detroit. Until 1958, Roseville was a part of Erin Township. In 2000, there were 48 129 inhabitants.

Traffic
Interstate 94 runs as a north- south axis through Roseville, Interstate 696 crosses the city as an east- west connection. Roseville is located at Michigan State Route 3, which runs from Detroit to Mount Clemens and crosses the city as Gratiot Avenue. The namesake of the street is the engineer Charles Gratiot ( [ græ'ʃət ] ). The Michigan State Route 97 runs as after Michigan's former Governor Alex Groesbeck Groesbeck Highway named at the western edge of the city and connects Detroit with the north of Macomb counties. An important within the City road link is the diagonal Utica Road, which begins at the Gratiot Avenue in a northwesterly direction to Sterling Heights and Utica leads.
