Roshan Seth

Roshan Seth ( born August 17, 1942 in New Delhi, India) is a British- Indian film and theater actor.

Life

Seth, a graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, first made aware of in the theater when he tournierte 1972 in A Midsummer Night's Dream by the United States. Already since 1964, worked in television series in front of the camera, Seth 1974 had his first major supporting role in a feature film in 18 hours till eternity ( Juggernaut ) as a ship's waiter Azad starring Richard Harris and Anthony Hopkins. His international breakthrough was achieved in 1982 for his role as Seth Jawaharlal Nehru in Gandhi, for which he received a BAFTA nomination. Two years later, in 1984, he took over the role of Chattar Lal in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and played in the same year under the direction of David Lean in travel to India.

Roshan Seth has predominantly Indian character embodied so well in 2001 in Monsoon Wedding. He also took a supporting role in Not Without My Daughter from the year 1991.

Parallel to his work as an actor Seth has made in India as a freelance journalist and editor of a name.
