Rosi Golan

Rosi Golan (* in Netanya, Israel) is an American singer-songwriter of Israeli descent.

Life and work

Golan lived the first five months of her life in Netanya. Up to the age of six she lived with her parents in Europe, before she moved with her mother back to Netanya, and two years later to Los Angeles. 2001 bought Rosi Golan her first guitar. Shortly thereafter, she began to write her first songs. In 2008 they released their debut album The Drifter and the Gypsy. Of the titles Been a Long Day on the television series One Tree Hill, the title Lullaby in the television series Private Practice, the title Come Around in the television series Ghost Whisperer and the title Think of Me, 2010, to hear Dear John in the movie. The best-known title of the album, Shine, was heard in a commercial for Pantene and was covered by French singer Anggun. The song Follow the Arrow was in a commercial for JC Penney Company use. In August 2011, appeared Golan's sophomore album Lead Balloon in the United States. In Germany, the album was released digitally.

Golan also writes for other artists. Thus, co-written with Mayaeni Strauss and the Norwegian musician Per Kristian Ottestad composition Bee 2010 by Lena Meyer- Landrut and Jennifer Brown was at the German preliminary decision to Euro Vision Song Contest 2010, Unser Star für Oslo, interpreted. In the preliminary Our song for Germany in 2011, Meyer- Landrut sang the song I Like You, the Golan had written via the internet together with the Irish musician Johnny McDaid.
