Roskilde-Fjord

The Roskilde Fjord is a fjord, which runs to the north of the Danish island Zealand from Isefjorden the Kattegat south to Roskilde.

Important towns and cities are on the east side next to Roskilde Frederikssund, Frederiksværk, Ølsted and Hundested, but this is already partially on the Ise Fjord in the north, and on the west bank Skibby and Jaegerspris. Is the ship graveyard of Skuldelev at the shallowest point.

The Roskildefjord is connected to the Arresø by a canal, which was begun about 1717 by Danish and Swedish soldiers prisoners of war.
