Ross Hook

Ross Sydney Hook ( born February 19, 1917 † 26 June 1996 in Blandford Forum ) was a British Anglican bishop.

Life and career

His first training received Hook in the Bluecoat School in Horsham and later in Peterhouse, Cambridge. In 1942 he was ordained a priest.

After the Second World War came to Hook war reserve and later became Chaplain of Ridley Hall. By the year 1965 Hook supervised several communities and eventually became a Bishop of Grantham Suffragan in the Diocese of Lincoln.

In 1972, he came as a bishop to Bradford and remained there until his retirement in 1980. From 1975 to 1980 he was also as a spiritual Lord Member of the House of Lords.

Ross Hook was married to Ruth Biddell. Together they had a daughter and a son.
