Ross J. Anderson

Ross John Anderson ( born September 15, 1956) is a British researcher, author and safety consultant. He is a professor at the Institute of computer science ( Computer Laboratory ) of the University of Cambridge, where he is active in the research group Computer Security.

Together with Eli Biham he designed the Tiger hash algorithm. The block cipher Serpent, he developed together with Eli Biham and Lars Knudsen. Anderson also designed the stream cipher Pike.

He discovered weaknesses in many cryptographic algorithms and security systems.
