Ross Levine

Ross Levine (* April 16, 1960 in New York City, New York) is an American economist and professor at Brown University in Providence.

His work focuses on international finance, regulation of finance and economic development. Levine is a consultant to several national banks, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

Life

Levine earned a master's degree in 1982 from Cornell University, Ithaca and 1987, a Ph.D. in economics at the University of California, Los Angeles. He received his first professorship in 1997 at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. It was given a professorship at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis (1999) and Brown University in Providence ( 2005).
