Roswitha Eberl

Roswitha Eberl ( born June 5, 1958 in Wismar ), today Krugman is a former German canoeist.

Eberl began at a young age, first as a swimmer and was avid figure skater before she moved to the newly formed canoe camp from SC Empor Rostock age of 13.

1978 won coached by Horst Miihlberg Eberl their first league title in the GDR, which it the gold medals in one kayak and quad kayak was followed at the World Championships in Belgrade. Both titles could also be a year later defend in Duisburg. 1980, double the double world champion could not prevail against Carsta Genäuß and drove only as a replacement starter for the Olympic Games in Moscow in internal elimination race. In the following two years Eberl won it two more world titles in four-man kayak.

After her playing career as a competitive athlete Eberl trained primarily from the long-distance runner and participated as such long after their careers end at various charity runs in part and hosted the 2008 First Coast Tour of Hope.
